These terms govern your use of the Combs & Clippers website and mobile app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Combs & Clippers.
1. What Combs & Clippers is
Combs & Clippers is a platform that connects clients with independent beauty and grooming professionals (“pros”), such as barbers, hair stylists, makeup artists, lash technicians and nail technicians, and with shops that rent out booths. We provide the tools to find, book and pay. We are not the employer of any pro, and the services are provided by the pros themselves.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate information when you sign up.
- You choose whether to register as a client, a pro or a shop owner. Keep your password, PIN and one-time codes private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- For security, we may allow only one signed-in device per account at a time.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Booking and paying
- Prices are set by the pros and shown in naira (₦). Paying through the app confirms your booking.
- A booking that has not been paid for is held only for a short time and is then released automatically.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. You agree to its terms when you pay.
- If a booking is cancelled or a payment is made in error, refunds are handled as described in the app at the time of the booking.
4. Pros and shop owners
- You are an independent business, responsible for your services, your prices, your tax and any licences you need.
- Keep your profile, services and working hours accurate and honour confirmed bookings.
- Earnings are credited after a booking is completed. You can withdraw them to a bank account you own. We may review, hold or delay a withdrawal for security reasons, and larger withdrawals may need our approval.
- Only upload photos and content you have the right to use.
5. Behaving well
You agree not to:
- break the law or use Combs & Clippers for fraud or to take money without delivering a service;
- harass, threaten or discriminate against others, or post offensive, false or misleading content or reviews;
- take bookings or payments outside the app to avoid fees that apply to bookings made through it;
- interfere with, attack or try to gain unauthorised access to the app or other people’s accounts; or
- copy or resell the app, or use automated tools to collect information from it.
We may remove content, suspend or close accounts, and hold payments that we reasonably believe break these terms or the law.
6. Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos, reviews and other content you post. You give Combs & Clippers a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and share it so that we can run the service, for example showing your portfolio on your profile.
7. Our responsibility
- We work to keep the app available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We do not guarantee the quality, safety or timing of any pro’s service, and we are not responsible for disputes between clients and pros, although we will try to help resolve them.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through the app in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using Combs & Clippers at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. Money you are owed will be handled in line with the law and these terms.
9. Privacy
How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make an important change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Using Combs & Clippers after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
